ABOUT Us

The Tri-County Beekeepers Association Inc (TCBA) was founded in 1980 with the mission of supporting local beekeepers and promoting public awareness of honey bees and their importance to our environment. The founders recognized a growing need for education, community, and collaboration among beekeepers in Wayne, Holmes, and Ashland Counties—giving rise to the "Tri-County" name. Since then, the organization has grown steadily and now includes over 400 members from across Ohio and neighboring states.

TCBA welcomes individuals and families of all experience levels who share an interest in honey bees, pollinators, and sustainable beekeeping practices. Our monthly meetings are open to the public and feature expert speakers, demonstrations, and valuable opportunities to learn and connect. We actively participate in local events to help educate the community, inspire new beekeepers, and raise awareness about the critical role honey bees play in agriculture and the environment.
