The Tri-County Beekeepers Association Inc is proud to host one of the largest beekeeping workshops in the country. Designed for beginners and experienced beekeepers alike, this event features expert speakers, hands-on demonstrations, vendors, and plenty of opportunities to learn, connect, and grow your beekeeping skills.

2027 Keynote Speaker
Dr. James Douglas Ellis
Dr. Jamie Ellis is a Professor of Entomology in the Department of Entomology at the University of Georgia. He has a BS degree in Biology from the University of Georgia and a PhD in Entomology from Rhodes University in South Africa. At the University of Georgia, Jamie has responsibilities in extension and research. Regarding his extension work, Jamie works with assorted clientele through diverse programming. As an instructor, Jamie supervises PhD and masters students. Currently, Jamie and his team have over thirty active research projects in the fields of honey bee husbandry, conservation, and ecology.

If you will be attending our Spring Workshop you may want to consider submitting your favorite recipes for the Honey Recipe Contest. The contest will be held on
Saturday March 6, 2027, and as long as you are a registered attendee to the workshop, that is all that is required.
